Morton’s The Steakhouse: The Best Steak You’ll Ever Have?
Hello Friend,
“The best steak I ever had was a crispy, pepper-encrusted, juicy Prime Porterhouse with a delicate and soft, cool-red center, at Morton’s The Steakhouse in Dallas.” Does that make your mouth water? It makes mine flow like a river.
Just mentioning my first experience at Morton’s The Steakhouse, is enough to set-off my taste buds. I remember the buttery flavor and aroma of the juices as they flowed across my plate when I first cut into that aged piece of meat. It was perfect.
My fork slid into the meat and my knife did all the work without any real help from me. It was perfect.
When that first piece of meat landed on my tongue and I expected to chew like I would with any other piece of meat, I literally stopped after my teeth sank into the softest stands of sinew I’ve ever tasted. I was so shocked at how tender and moist and flavorful it was. It was the first time in my life I’d ever taken the time to truly savor a meal. It was perfect.
The Au la cart table-side service was impressive too, but not as much as finding out that we had two servers. Two servers, can you imagine that? Two people who want to help you have the best dining experience possible. They brought out a cart with every piece of meat on it and I got to choose the steak I wanted for dinner. They followed that with another cart covered in vegetables. It was perfect.
I felt like a King. Oh, I need to mention that my wife, the picky eater who likes her meat well-done but still juicy-she ordered the filet. To our amazement, they got that 2-inch thick fillet well-done through-and-through without burning it. And, it was so juicy. I was almost jealous. She was so impressed because it’s the only place that’s ever cooked her meat the right way. It was perfect.
We each finished off our meals with a fluffy, light souffle. Here’s the thing, they gave us the souffle on the house. They told us that one of our “two servers”, had had to spend more time at another table and wasn’t able to devote as much time to us as they expect. Can you imagine that? We were shocked because we didn’t even notice it, they’re that good. It was perfect.
